Day 31-Animal
I'd like to introduce you to, Tiny. He, and his people, are our neeeeeeighbors. Tiny loves carrots, and he loves to roll in the mud. Whenever we go outside, he whinny's for attention. He loves attention, especially from Mitch, who feeds him carrots. Tiny shares his people with a German shepherd, named Javier. When their people come home from work and Javier is let outside; he runs to the fence, and barks his 'Hellos' to Tiny. This makes Tiny kick up his hooves and run around the paddock, just like a wild mustang.

365 DPC-Day 27
Day 27-What I am Doing Today
2 Timothy 3:14–17 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

365 DPC-Day 26
Day 26-My Favorite Shoes
I don't like wearing shoes! If I could get away with it, I would not wear shoes....ever! I know, not very practicle! As a child, I remember many times getting a paddling on my bottom, for not wearing my shoes. One time, I rode my friends motorcycle without shoes on. While on the back of the bike, I accidentally put my foot down on the exhaust pipe; and badly burned, the arch of my foot. I remember the blister being so large, that I couldn't put my foot down flat, for weeks! I wish that I could say that I learned my lesson, but I didn't; for I had many encounters over the years of my childhood, with rocks, pieces of glass, pine cones, thorns, and other sharp objects. My feet are tough cookies! Mitch teases me about them. He says that if they were hairy, he would call them Hobbit Feet! Needless to say, I'm glad that they are not!
Now, if it was summertime, I would have taken a photo of my bare feet.......for they are my favorite shoes.
But, it's winter and it's cold, so no bare feet for me.
So, I took a picture of the next best thing.

Day 25: Edited Photo
This is the first time that I have used any kind of photo editing program. I enjoyed trying out the different functions; even though, I really didn't know what I was doing! And, I only had the editing program that came with my PC.
Last week, I had watched a You Tube video demonstration on using Photo Shop. The video showed the transformation of a photo of an old woman, into a photo of a young woman. If I hadn't seen the transformation with my own eyes; I would not have been able to tell, that the photo of the younger woman was fake. How easy it was, to take something 'real,' and turn it into something, 'false.'

365 Day Photo a Challenge-Days 20-23
Days 20-22....were days spent being sick and working. Each of these days, I thought about this challenge; it seems to always be on my mind. Life interfered with my good intentions. Once again, my plans were foiled. Ah well, that's life, right? And, it is a good life. God has blessed me, far beyond what I deserve. I'm constantly amazed at what He does for me. I'm so thankful for His loving care; for His patience and faithfulness, to me, His child. I'm blessed beyond measure for all that He has done.
Day 23: Nature
Mitch and I are spending a few days away. We are in Leavenworth; a surprise for Mitch, for his 58th birthday. We are surrounded by.....Nature. The mountains are beautiful, draped in fog. The fruit trees are barren of fruit and leaves; their branches reaching towards the sky. The waterfalls are frozen, and the riverbanks are iced over. Even though it is winter time, God's creation is beautiful.

365 Day Photo Challenge-Days 18-19
Day 18-Sporting Event
The Denver Broncos are headed to the Super Bowl. YAY! It's going to be a great game to watch. I took a photo of our TV screen; I loved seeing Mile High Stadium, full of blue and orange.
Day 19-Something Pink
I bought this bottle, at a little shop, outside of Jerusalem. It is one of my favorite things. Just like it says in the scriptures, these bottles are meant to hold tears. This little bottle reminds me that my tears mean something to God, that He cares about what makes me cry. It reminds me that every little detail of my life is important to Him. It reminds me that His heart is with mine; that He feels my pain and sorrow, and that He shares in all of my joy.

365 DPC-Day 17
Day 17-Bokeh
The word, Bokeh, when used for photography means: "The aesthetic quality of the the blur. The way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light." I've always enjoyed seeing photographs that use this technique; especially the ones that are taken outside on sunny days, or at Christmas time. The light is so beautiful at these times. I waited all day to see if I could get a good outdoor shot; but of course, the sun was hiding again. So, I had to settle for an indoor one. The other photo was one that I had taken of the Christmas tree in the courtyard at church.

365 Day Photo Challenge-Day 13
Day 13-Something Electronic
I introduce you to.........my IPad! I would be lost without it. Well, not eternally lost, but my life would not be the same without it! This little silver piece of metal and circuits has become something I rely upon. My IPad has become like a friend, I count on it to be there for me; and it helps me out in so many ways.
I use it for my quiet time.
I use it for Bible study prep.
I use it to pin inspiring projects and yummy recipes, onto Pinterest.
I use it to keep in touch with family and friends on Facebook.
I use it to read a novel.
I use it to surf the web.
I use it to find out the answers to, oh so many, questions.
I use it to watch You Tube videos, on how-to-do-stuff.
I use it to go shopping.
I use it to go window shopping.
I use it as the best-ever-recipe book.
It is my calendar and my notebook.
It reminds me of important dates.
I play games on it.
My grand kids play games on it.
I use it to keep me company, when certain persons are watching sports.
I LOVE my IPad!

Day 12-Sunset
Psalm 65:8 And they who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Thy signs; Thou dost make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
365 Day Photo Challenge-Day 10 and 11
Day 10-Something Blue
Day 11-A Childhood Memory
I was hoping to take a photo of the sky, but I haven't seen blue sky, in like, forever! Anyway, I was visiting my daughter, helping out in the kitchen and I saw her cute kitchen valance made out of vintage hankies; and there it was, something blue. And it brought back memories of my grandmother, and of my mom too; they used hankies like these. My mother always had a tissue or a hanky on her. In my mind's 'eye,' I can see the tip of a hanky, poking out from my mother's shirt sleeve. I remember asking her once, why she carried them this way. She said that she put them in her sleeve, or tucked into her bra strap, so that she always had one ready to wipe us kids' noses. She said, "Runny noses are the grosses thing!" My grandmother would keep a hanky folded up in her purse. She carried one of those purses with the clasp that needed to be pinched apart, the kind that made a definite 'snapping' sound when closed. Her hankies had beautiful embroidery on them. She was the one who taught me how to embroider, so that I could make pretty hankies for myself. I even made some monogrammed ones for my father one year for Christmas. Yes, even he, carried a hanky; folded up and placed in the back pocket of his pants.

365 Day Photo Challenge-Days 6,7, and 8
My life is CrAzY!! I began this Photo Challenge as a 'creative outlet.' I wanted to try my hand at something new, something that I thought would be fun. Also, I'm challenging myself to 'follow' through on something that I enjoy doing. I am real good at following through on work, home life, church, etc. But, if it is something artistic or just for fun, I will find that I don't finish what I started. I found that not being able to post the photos on their proper days, caused a bit of angst, and I wanted to just 'forget about it.' I make up all kinds of excuses in my head for why it would be better to just stop. After all, I got behind and now, how will I ever catch up? Isn't it defeating the purpose of a 'Daily Photo Challenge,' if I don't do it 'daily?'
But, as I thought about it and prayed about it; I discovered that in the area of recreation, sports, crafting, sewing, writing, and picture taking, actually learning/doing anything new; I want to be 'perfect' at it! And, that takes all of the 'fun' out of it. My personality is such, that if I say that I am going to do something, well then, I better do it! I tell myself, it's not like sports, or sewing, or this Challenge are so important. It's not like continuing on with this challenge is going to affect or change anyone's life; so it's ok to quit! Except, keeping up with it will change me! I need to keep on going; even though I wasn't able to post every day, and it isn't going according to my plans, I need to not quit!
And so, I'll keep going. Even though this post will contain 3 days worth of photos; I still took the photos each day, I was still trying to be creative about the subjects that I chose to capture, and I was still thinking about 'why' I chose them..........and best of all, it was fun!
Day 6-From a Low Angle
I love this old apple tree; the spring blossoms, the shade it gives in summer's heat, and the way it's branches look barren of leaves. Even the texture of the bark is beautiful.
Day 7-Fruit
We had a potluck at Women's Bible Study today. I love to fellowship with the ladies that attend. God has made each one of us unique. He has given to each of us spiritual gifts, so that we can serve and love on one another. We all 'bring something' to the body of Christ. And, it is good! Just like a potluck! I know, it's a stretch, but I love how God uses the 'ordinary' things in my life, and turns it into an 'extraordinary' lesson.
For a potluck, we bring a dish to share. Something that if we prepared it at home for our family will have fed a few, but now, it feeds many. We bring a dish that is thought out and unique to us. We are sharing of our resources, of our time, and of ourselves; so that others are fed.
And so, I didn't take a picture of one kind of fruit, but of many, all mixed together, and it was good!
Day 8-A Bad Habit
I go to bed way too late! Maybe this is why I don't have time to do the 'fun' things? Maybe this is why I don't have the energy to 'finish' something that I have started? The End!

Coming Soon.....Days 6, 7 and 8!
I'm writing this from my ipad, because I left my PC at work; Days 6 and 7 photos are on my iPhone's camera, but for some reason they won't download to my ipad.......I needed a 'perfect storm,' one that would cause all of my electronic devices to sinc together, but it ain't happening!! Sigh....So, check back for tomorrow's post.....it'll be a doozy! 😀

Day Five: From a High Angle
Today, I'm not feeling well......so my photo isn't that inspiring. It was taken from the deck of our tree house; I took it while looking down the stairs. I did like the shadows that were cast by the sunlight tho.

Day Four-Something that is Green
Well, isn't that fortuitous? Do you like the big word, Mitch?
My eyes just happen to be......green! And, the Bible verse that I love the most; because it changes my attitude when I apply it, just happens to contain the word.....eyes!

Day 3-Clouds
Today's sunset was gorgeous! And wasn't it just peachy that today's challenge was clouds? I wish my photos could've done it justice. It reminded me that someday, hopefully real soon, Jesus is going to come through the clouds and call me HOME!
"Come quickly, LORD Jesus!"

365 Day Photo Challlenge-Day 2
Day 2: Take a photo of something that I wore.
I'm a Hippie Chick at heart.......I'd love to burn this, and all others like it!
I heard that a man invented it......he must have not liked women very much!
If I could get away with it, I'd never wear one of these again!

365 Day Photo Challenge-Day One
Day One: Self Portrait
I know, it's not a typical self portrait, but I thought it'd be fun to pay homage to my feet! They aren't the prettiest feet, I know, but they serve me well. Today, the first day of a new year, while I did some laundry, I organized the laundry room cupboards. I then made chicken soup, along with 2 canning jars full of veggie soup stock. I rearranged the freezer in the garage and I cleaned out the kitchen fridge. And my feet were there for me the whole day thru. So I treated them to a pedi, pretty polish and all; and then I put those hard working little piggies up on the ottoman for a much needed rest!
